John Wick is for me best action universe (without any SF or fantasy elements) in the last decade, but that doesn't mean that these movies are perfect in all senses of a masterpiece*. Spoilers from 1-4 JW. T or C. *The fourth adventure of Baba Yaga changed it. There is one thing that we can say about it more because they are presuppositional convenient. Plot armor that has the main character is around 98.9%. We can feel his breaths, fatigue, wounds, and bruisings, but we can't attach to someone that is like a terminator. However, this terminator is possible. We know that there are people in this world that has so many practices in their muscles, or just in the precision of the ability to use the weapon. Plot armor in the reality also exists, but the biggest difference is the fact, that in the reality there are no constants; in the end, we all die. Now, here's a trick: John Wick is also not a high-quality contract killer in his universe, but also a skilled warrior in a fire-arm way. In all of that, the suspension of disbelief is not as convenient as we think it is. We talking about the diegetic world where professional killers have a monopoly in the political setup. The Continental seems like Big Brother that corrupted the whole world, and people that just want to live their own life and go to discounts seem accustomed to the reality when there are people that kill other people on the street, at the big party. Actually, my only problem with this whole series is rather the fact that sometimes characters talk to each other just like that- like they have time to slow talk during gigantic hunting. John Wick from the final of his second movie is in the reality of Hunger Games. People tracking him and trying to catch him. Of course, this is a mainstream movie, so they must be some time for dialogue because gasp during watching this whole sequence of dances and shooting and jumping and crumbling and falling from a roof giving us also fatigue. Sometimes we need to walk to a bus stop, so maybe my problems aren't as big as I see them the first time... Now, let's take cover for the last movies. The first movie is a firmament and element for the whole point of a man that lost the life that could bring him pleasure. Without his wife, dog, or car, Jonathan has no purpose. Serial killer after he go into retirement and then lost everything on that retirement what do? He goes back to his old life. Killing is the way for breathing for him. That's a nice psychological trick that was insinuated during the last movies but was not exalted. The 4th movie does that because shows us more about people that are outside of the John Wick extent in some way, but even friends are trapped in this brainless madness. We watch this thing, and we feel admiration for this whole aggression. Someone who likes bloody fights can enjoy this, but deep inside we should remember that this realization of emotion has a bad impact. I mean, we rather blink at a movie where people are killing in a violent way, or we laugh at the claim that there's come to violation of human corps (Yes, I'm talking about this dog that pees at a killer named Chidi), than we accept love story plot-lines. Of course is the half-truth, the whole '90s and first decade of the XXI century just blow us with "low-cost" romantic movies, but we have this distinct effect that violence in this reality is everywhere, and movies of JW series just try to talk to us how many of it there are out there. High-quality spies and professional assassins. In some ways fiction, in some ways not (and no, don't even try to imply that is just another low-quality conspiracy theory because Interpol has a very rational purpose to exist). John Wick is hunted by a corrupted quasi-Interpol in his own reality. JW2 for me was an unsatisfied version of the first movie, but with a great final, and JW3 that I was hyped on, but I felt fail in it. Parabellum was big hunting, but nothing more, unfortunately. I think that it gives me more information about the world that John lives in or shows more about his past in the retrospection, which will give him maybe friends, but it won't happen. I needed to wait for another movie, and I even give a chance that it will take my heart to restore the chance in this universe. I was wrong. I give more than I wanted in the third part and more than I think the fourth part should give. John Wick 4 as a movie is the best part of a whole franchisee and a masterpiece of action movies. The Boogeyman is hunted now by 2 skilled killers, that are on the same power level as him. And only two people in this world after all can kill The Devil: his best friend and nobody. They could do it, but there are two reasons why they don't do it. You know... the one is obvious. Best friends usually don't want to kill each other... I think (but maybe I'm wrong). The second issue is also interesting. Mr. Nobody AKA Tracker wants up the stake for the money of a Baba Yaga head, so he [also] helps the Devil. After all, death comes to the Devil. Partly exact. Джарданы Джовонович [/Jardani Jovonovich] died in empathy. Ironic names are for those who have empathy. He gives up himself patly knowingly partly not, to let his friend be a father. The saddest point in this story is the fact that this father named Caine didn't watch Kill Bill. Revenge is the shadow of his and John's mistake protects. A friend kills a friend of a friend that protects this friend, which impact on a daughter, that feels injustice that his father lives, and another, which is the killer, of her family love, not. 4th movie of John Wick is a palette of colors exalted in the mega-point of how lights in action movies should work. This movie has a satisfying ending with a post-credit scene, just like the perfect set-up finale of the 2nd movie. This movie is an architecture of a culmination of the whole consequences. Music= another WOW Effect. The creation of characters in this film is like sweet chocolate in a shape of a bullet that is behind the fog, and I love that vision. Soviet-American nationality man; Jean Wick lost his soul, but his heart gave to his wife. The ego of Mr. Wick has no purpose- a toxic man that only lives one mind in his reality. The consequence is a pile of dead bodies. At least also evil people (or even more fucked-up than him). John Wick as an universum, is a beautiful pastiche of every action, western, and kick-like movie. 4th part is so meta and at the same time double-medium that it could be also a video game. Plastic hearts won't die, they come into heaven. Time for a tragic part: John Wick is the version of Keanu Reeves that could be a cold-blooded assassin, because in his past many tragic things happened, but is not. He is an actor, that not forget about empathy for common people. Probably that's why he is good at this role. Weigh in his tragic experience outbalance the road that has in his mindset John Wick. THINK! (甄子丹/Donnie Yen is a martial art real daredevil not even in this film, but in the real life!).
